Something to think about while camping

Just to give you something to think about the next time you're lying in your sleeping bag out in the woods, listening to the snap of a twig or the rustle of a tree limb...Take a look at what this anonymous Michigan hunter claims to have caught on his gamecam that was 6 feet up a tree.

The family dog could easily provide the subject for the first and third photos for an aspiring hoaxer, but that middle one is rather disturbing. Those are some pretty big teeth for a dog...

Image One: The Eye

The first image is an extreme closeup of a very human looking eye that appears to be surrounded by fur. The interesting thing about this image is the perspective. At first glance it appears to be a shot of the right side of the face (imagine the snout emerging to the lower right of the image). However, some viewers believe the image actually depicts the left side of the face with the head slightly tilted and the eye articulated to the far left (imagine the snout emerging at the top left of the image). Considered from this perspective, the dark line above the eye takes on the shape of an eyebrow. Keep in mind this eye had to be at least six feet above the ground when the image was taken.

:smokin: I lightened the image

I live in northwest Michigan and there have been tales around here since the days of yore about the Dog Man of Luther. There is even a song about him. My girlfriend claims to have seen him one night crossing a backroad. She was shook up so I know she saw something. Had to be bad if it was worse than me on a bad morning.

Myself, I've never seen a damn thing and I've spent alot of time in these woods. There are bear and cougar though.

I figure that creature wants nothing to do with humans. Otherwise we would know what it is. Very interesting pictures if legit.

Well Michigan is now out as a SHTF retreat.

Why don't you hear stories about campers shooting people? There are plenty of stories of campers being bothered by monsters and bad guys.

I would shoot the dang thing, after a warning of course, and sell Dog man or Big Foot to Cabala's so they could stick it in their store.

I'd make that same bet, but there are some territorial things out there. A number of years ago a friend and I had a disturbing encounter on a caving trip. Never saw what we were dealing with, but we heard it stealthily pacing us in the woods, occasionally tapping rocks together. Didn't think much of it then. When we got down into the large entrance room of the cave, we heard someone outside and hollered a hello. Next thing we knew, whoever was outside lobbed a couple of slightly larger than football-sized rocks at us. I didn't see where they came from (too far outside the cave), but they sailed into the cave at a height of about 16 feet, and we saw the rocks airborne for at least 30 or 40 feet. At that point, we realized we probably weren't dealing with other cavers or drunken rednecks. We retreated into the small passage at the bottom of the entrance room, and a few minutes later, we heard someone coming down the breakdown slope and small rocks falling at the climbdown entrance to the small passage we were in. Our stalker then proceeded to start bellowing down the passage in a voice louder and more resonant than a human could achieve (I've heard many people yelling in caves). To make a long story short, my friend and I cowered in the bottom of the cave for about 3 hours before risking returning to our trucks. I now think it was most likely a Bigfoot encounter, but at the time, I didn't realize they were so commonly seen in that area. Over the years, other experiences have drawn me to the conclusion that Bigfoot does exist and that Alabama and Tennessee are lousy with the creatures.

Woodman, I've seen reports from several different states about large canine-headed bipeds. Very weird stuff. I'm not presumptious enough to think that we humans know all of nature's mysteries. I think Floyd is right, though. If that creature is real, it wants nothing to do with humans (well, except maybe that guy who reported one tried to chew its way into his house).
